Studio Ghibli’s powerhouse animation studio has created countless memorable characters and tales, but Princess Mononoke is a favorite of hardcore fans for so many great reasons. A mythical, magical, industrial story of respecting the lands we live on and take from, the film follows Ashitaka as they attempt to diagnose and cure a growing ecological sickness affecting the untamed nature surrounding their local village. Incredibly sumptuous artwork illustrates the spirits of the wilderness in their awesome power, and all the lives thereby affected. Stars Claire Danes, Angelina Jolie, Billy Bob Thornton, and Billy Crudup.
