Local military historian Erik Lund of the Military Officers of America presets a relatively zany look at a sobering time in American history. In Steven Spielberg’s epic action comedy (with one of the biggest budgets ever committed to screen at the time of its release), hysterical Californians prepare for a Japanese invasion in the days after Pearl Harbor. Featuring recognizable locales and a slice of Americana straight from the pages of Morro Bay’s history, this feature is a swinging, exploding, mad romp through the stuff of Military legend. We’ll also be joined at the screening by Gerry Sackman, who worked on the film’s score with Spielberg’s right hand musical man, John Williams.
