Jack Black stars as the unforgettable Dewey Finn (aka “Ned Schneebly”) a false identity used to swindle a quick buck out of a substitute teaching gig at a prestigious private school. The kids learn to live loud and rock hard as they train for a lucrative Battle of the Bands competition, all while keeping out from under the watchful eye of their (closet Stevie Nicks fangirl) principal, played brilliantly by Joan Cusack. Also starring Sarah Silverman, written by and starring Mike White (The White Lotus), and directed by the always-big-hearted Richard Linklater.
